Biography            Educated at Hunter College in New York and Fashion Institute of Technology, founder of the former Tomorrow Designs, Corp. showroom in New York’s prestigious Decoration & Design Building which gave her a background from 1970 through 1987 in designing, manufacturing and distributing home furnishings for other designers, architects, hotels, residences, etc. In 1985 Barbara Rubens started her own Interior Design firm, Messardiere Design Quest, Corp.
. where she is one of the principle’s and lead designers.

             Barbara’s work has been featured in many magazines  such as, Architectural Design,  Interior Design, Contract, Hamptons, Vogue, Bazaar, Elle, etc. Her unique masterpiece of her own Southampton residence has been featured in fashion publications  commercials, and videos used all over the world. Her residential and commercial projects have taken her talents from boutiques to grand ballrooms to residences of all sizes, including large estates and even an overseas Presidential Palace.  

            Barbara is a true designer and even though she loves contemporary she knows that being talented is to be able to design for her client’s tastes and desires. Her accomplished works are both in the modern and traditional style and she excels at all. Her love for design and her respect for her clients clearly shows in her pride of the creative development of the initial idea to the supply and customization of the furnishings down to the finest detail Barbara’s vast knowledge of the industry and sources of supply provides her clients a stress free environment that enables everyone to totally enjoy the entire project.
